We are Kibbutz Lehavot HaBashan in northern Israel, only 6 miles from the border with Lebanon.

Normally, this place is paradise, but since October 7th, Hezbollah missiles have been flying around us, sometimes intercepted right above our heads and falling within residential areas.

Each siren gives us only 15 seconds to seek shelter.

Our 150+ children attend daycares, kindergartens, and schools that lack proper protection.

- Children under 3 years old stay in underground shelters from the 1950s, which have no sunlight or proper ventilation systems

- Our older children are instructed to lie on the ground and place their hands on their heads when a siren sounds, as there are no nearby shelters.

More kids are waiting to enter our education system, but because of the lack of shelters, they will be at great risk.

An underground shelter that was converted into a daycare. Without a proper ventilation system, 1 y/o children are spending about 8 hours there every day.

What are we raising money for?

We are launching a fundraising campaign to purchase mobile shelters, just like the one in the photo below, and place them within our educational facilities.

Each shelter costs $15,000, including delivery and setup fees.

Raising $60,000/€57,000 will allow us to purchase 4 mobile shelters, providing good protection coverage for the school and kindergarten areas.

We need to get these shelters set up by June 2024, to be able to accept the new batch of kids to our daycares, kindergarten, and schools, and to meet the IDF requirements.

אנחנו קיבוץ להבות הבשן ברצועת הביטחון הצפונית, רק 10 קילומטרים מהגבול עם לבנון.

בדרך כלל אנחנו חיים בגן עדן, אבל מאז ה-7 באוקטובר הכל השתנה.

טילים של חיזבאללה ומל"טים מתאבדים עפים סביבנו, לפעמים מיורטים ממש מעל לראשנו, ולנו בטווח התראה מיידי יש רק 15 שניות לתפוס מחסה.

יותר מ 150 ילדים בקיבוץ לומדים במעונות יום, גנים ובתי ספר שאין להם הגנה מתאימה.

ילדים מתחת לגיל 3 שוהים במקלטים תת קרקעיים משנות ה-50, בלי אור יום או אוויר צח, ככה 8 שעות בכל יום.

הגדולים יותר (בני 4 ומעלה) בגנים ובכיתות הלא ממוגנות מקבלים הוראה לשכב על הקרקע ולהניח את ידיהם על ראשם כאשר נשמעת אזעקה, פשוט מצב הזוי.

ילדים נוספים מחכים להיכנס למערכת החינוך שלנו בגני הפעוטות, אבל בגלל המחסור במיגון הוחלט שלא לקחת את הסיכון ונכון להיום משפחות רבות נאלצות להישאר בבית עם התינוקות ללא יכולת לצאת לעבוד ולהתפרנס בכבוד.

בשביל מה אנחנו מגייסים כסף?

אנו יוצאים בקמפיין גיוס כספים לרכישת מיגוניות, בדיוק כמו זה שבתמונה למטה, והצבתם בתוך מתקני החינוך שלנו.

כל מקלט עולה 50,000 ש"ח כולל הובלה והתקנה.

גיוס של 200,000 ש"ח יאפשר לנו לרכוש 4 מיגוניות שיספקו הגנה לילדינו במערכות החינוך.

הזמן דוחק, המציאות בצפון רק הולכת ונעשית קשה יותר ויותר וגם כניסה של פעוטות נוספים לגנים צפויה ליוני 2024, אך לא תתאפשר בלי מיגוניות נוספות.
