Parmenter Family Memorial Fund

On March 4th 2015, my brother-in-law suffered a horrible fall while shoveling snow off a roof at work. He was med-flighted to MGH where he spent 4 days in a coma in the  ICU and never regained consciousness.  Wayne suffered head trama to his brain stem that resulted in his death.   The family was at his bedside the whole time hoping for good news.  After meeting with several doctors, the final heartbreaking result was to consider what type of life he would have wanted.   We knew we would have wanted him here,  but it would have been hard for his wife and children to see him on life support forever.  He did donate organs and was able to help other families.  After many hours of discussion, the family thought his life was now in the hands of the Lord and we all said our good-byes.

Wayne left behind his wife of 29 years, Susanne, and two children Andy, 25 and Kailee, 18. My niece Kailee put her thoughts about her Dad in a paragraph......

.....My father went to heaven yesterday.  He was greeted at the gates of heaven and is now in full paradise.  He taught me so many lessons, this being one of the most important lessons.  He taught me to be an amazing human being, to be kind, helpful, loving and hard-working.  The way he loved my mother, brother and I was so genuine and intense.  He supported me in everything I did.  I have countless memories with him and now it is time for me to make memories in honor of him. I will have the best guardian angel!  I HAVE the best Dad who is going to be by my side for the rest of my life.  Graduation, college, my wedding, having children, he will never miss a moment.  I got to be with him and held his hand when he took his last breath in this life and I would have not had it any other way.  He gave me the best eighteen years of my life and, for that, I am forever grateful.  Because of him, I became a woman yesterday.  This is not a goodbye.  This is a see you real soon.  Guide me, protect me always, I love you Wayne Gilbert Parmenter, the best husband, auto body foreman, brother, uncle and father.

As one could imagine, losing a spouse/father suddenly leaves a huge burden on Susanne and her family.  Any contribution to keep their heads above water would be greatly appreciated!
