Help Kate & Scoopie Recover from Car Accident Injuries

Hi friends and family of the interwebs,

So this isn't exactly the birthday update I had hoped to post.. but here we are. Two weeks ago I got in a pretty bad car accident - I was trying to bring medicine to a friend across the province and I hit black ice on the road and my car careened into a ditch. I hit my head pretty hard on the left door and the driver side window shattered and covered me in glass.

I am still struggling with a concussion and wrist and shoulder injuries, and Scoopie had an eye injury as well. Unfortunately, I found out yesterday that my insurance is denying my claim so I am asking for help to cover some emergency costs from this, so that I can get my car back and take Scoopie to the vet.

I am not going to let this stop me from continuing to make the world a more colorful place! Despite not being able to work for more than an hour or two because of the concussion making my head split.. I haven't stopped painting and I am currently finishing a mural I started for a nearby First Nations owned business and I am also submitting a painting to a local art competition.

There is so much I am grateful for, and I am very lucky to have amazing community and I know things will improve. Ultimately this is just a temporary setback and with your help I am determined to get back to normal or even better than they were before.
