Hi, my name is Mariyah Saldana. I am currently a freshman at Gallaudet University this year. I am playing basketball at the university, in my first year. I am on the U21 USA team for this summer in Argentina to play in the Deaf World Championship games. I appreciate my family and friends helping me out and supporting me. My goal is $3,000, which covers lodging, uniforms, meals, travel expenses & training camp to be held in Florida before heading to Argentina July 17-27. I love basketball, which motivates me to work hard. When I was 5 or 6 years old, I started to play basketball and look up to Michael Jordan, my favorite NBA player.
