Dear Colorado Soccer Community,
We’re reaching out because the Westminster AFC - U17 - 01 Boys Soccer Team has achieved an amazing victory, and is now is looking for your help!
This team has won their first State Cup title, and now are proud to represent Colorado in the U17 Regional tournament in Hawaii. Please know, this is not a vacation, they will maintain their practice and conditioning schedule so they can do their best in the regional tournament.
These young men have played together for many years, through good and bad, rain, snow, sunshine, and injuries through it all they kept trying.
Last year they made the semifinals but missed making it to the finals.
Two years ago this team made the finals, but missed out by one point.
This year was different, they stayed tough and played tough and won the day, every young man contributed 110%.
However, now the team has the monumental task of raising money to travel to regionals in a very short time. Some teams have had since last fall to begin raising money for this tournament which is slated for mid-June.
Each young man will need raise money ($2000.00) to cover their flight, hotel, transportation, and meals, in a very short time frame. We need to have the deposits paid and reservations made in a matter of weeks.
Please know the amount being requested is not intended to be a free ride for the team, there are 17 players and each player will be asked to contribute substantially, however some of our boys have limited means. Some have never seen the ocean, and this would be a once in a lifetime, possibly a life changing event for them.
To the friends and family of the team, our caring neighbors, and the Colorado Soccer community we are asking you for a $25.00 donation, or more if you can, this would ensure these young men are able to represent Colorado Soccer in the Far West Regionals.
We as parents of the team are looking at many creative options to make this trip work. We have already discussed having the coaches and chaperones pay their own way to the tournament.
This means your donation will go directly to the players travel expenses.

I am Patrick Yeager, the father of one of the players on this team, Logan Yeager, and am doing what I can to help these young men raise money for their trip.

I am the father of one of the players, however my wife Mary Ann is the Team Admin and is working with Club and the Parents to book flights, hotels, and transportation.
These funds, less gofundme fees and charge backs, will be distributed equally among 16 players to offset the travel expenses stated above.
I will withdraw the funds for the benefit of the team and write corresponding checks and/or debits to the club or the players directly. These funds will be used to offset expenses incurred for the flights, hotel, and transportation.
A detailed accounting of the funds collected and distributions, less gofundme fees and charge backs, will be distributed to the parents of the team, as well as the Westminster Soccer Club once the trip is complete.
