Gabby's Chemotherapy Fund

Hello, my name is Maria and this is my best friend Gabby. We've been best friends since 7th grade. In 2012 she was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis. For those who do not know Lupus is a chronic auto immune disorder that affects 1.5 million Americans. Her Lupus has Kidney involventment which means she can go into kidney failure if she does not take her medication. Ever since that day her life encountered very big changes. Gabby is a person full of energy and high spirits. Ever since she was diagnosed you could see how the Lupus was taking a toll on her body. As her best friend it broke my heart to see her that way but Gabby has a very positive outlook on life and stayed very positive through out all the biopsy and doctor visits.

Recently her Lupus had a relapse. She spent the last two months in and out of emergencies rooms. She received a second biopsy to only find out that her medicine was not controlling her Lupus. We've recently found out that she will need to receive Chemotherapy in order to keep her Lupus under control.

Since Gabby is very young(22) she needs to freeze her eggs in order to protect them from the radiation that she will be receiving from the chemo. This has shown to be a very expensive process.

I am trying to raise as much as I can in order to help her out with the egg freezing process in order to begin her Chemo. The medicines start at 3,000$ for each session. She has applied for loans in order to pay for this but continues to get denied. We can not keep pushing the Chemo back because it will only hurt her even more.

I don't want to continue to see my best friend struggle to pay for her medical needs. I'm reaching out for some help, even if it's 50 cents anything to get her what she needs. Everything will be very appreciated.
