Flight School Tuition Assistance

Hello everyone, my name is Edgar Diaz, but most know me as Eddie. I started my aviation dreams as a JetBlue flight attendant in October of 2011. However, my true passion is to become a pilot and on September 2021 I was accepted into JetBlue's Gateway Select pilot program. The program is a 3 1/2 year accelerated flight school venture that allows those accepted to become, upon completion, a pilot with a guaranteed position as a First Officer.

This journey has been a rewarding one but also an expensive venture. The tuition and loan I applied for does covers most of my education at CAE Flight Academy but it only covers a portion of remedial flights sessions. These flight sessions are necessary to complete certain requirements and going forward, I will incur in these additional expenses for current and future remedial classes.

As I am fully committed to this program, it’s difficult for me to work full time to pay these additional classes. Becoming a pilot is something that I have wanted for a long time and a passion that I would hate to see come to an end because of finances which is why I am creating this GoFund Me to help cover my tuition expenses.
