Get Xavier back in school

Hello everyone. For those who don’t know me, my name is Xavier J. Steward. I’m currently in a situation that can keep me away from furthering my education. Last fall I attended Saint Joseph’s University. I transferred from Rosemont College and once I arrived to SJU’s campus for preseason rugby I immediately felt at home. I loved the campus because of the welcoming atmosphere, the new possibilities, and the close proximity to my family who depends on me. The rugby team welcomed me with open arms and considered me family. The professors were always willing to help and wanted to see the best for their students and I really felt that in my heart. However I was not able to pay my fall tuition because of financial issues  as well unexpected hardships and setbacks within my family. We were able to get the university to agree to match half of our bill before they sent my bill to their outside payment agency. In order for me to register for classes I will have to pay the bill in full or I won’t be able to attend Saint Joe’s or any other university. Attending St. Joe’s University has been one the best things that could have happened to me as a first generation college student. Without the funds, I will not be able to pursue my passions in Entertainment Management and give back to my community. I need to raise $13,000 before August 24th in order for me to get back to school and back to playing with my team who I now call a family.
