Hey, everybody. Here's an update with the Fiol family.
If you're one of our friends, if you're in one of the many bands who have stayed in our home while on tour, or if you just like to keep up with me or my wife Angie on social media, you all know the goodest girl, Bella. Bella has some stuff going on and we don't know what it is. Basically, while the right side of her face is totally fine and normal,

the muscles in the left side of her face are dying. Literally disappearing. So it's almost all skull, and it's getting more distinguished everyday.

I went back through some photos and it appears that this started happening in early to mid December. This could be due to a multitude of things, none of them good.
Good news is, she's not in any pain (yet). She's her regular goofy lovey self and I can pet her head and love on her all the same without her showing any signs of sensitivity or pain. However, with the things that could be wrong with her (MMM, Horner's Syndrome, cancer, maybe she had a silent stroke, etc.), even without her experiencing any pain at the moment, it could lead to big problems like blindness, or losing the ability to open her mouth, and the fact that she now is having trouble keeping food in her mouth while she eats is not a good sign.
We've spent about $400 this week on testing at a couple different vets trying to figure out what's wrong with our pup, and we've spent another $1600+ for her to be put under for an MRI and further testing this coming Monday. That's $2000+ in money we don't really have, just in hopes of getting an answer to what could be going on with her. I don't even know what the cost of treatment is going to be.
So the reason I'm posting this:
I all know we're all struggling right now. A lot of us are out of work. And I absolutely hate reaching out like this. But if anyone is doing okay enough financially during this quarantine and is interested in donating to help Bella get better, we would appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

Thank you so much for reading, donating, and sharing. Be good.
