My name is Hayley Wood. My father, Timothy Wood, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 10 years ago when he woke up blind in one eye. He never recovered the sight in his right eye, and his condition gets worse and worse by the day.

A few years after diagnosis, he had an attack that left him unable to walk without assistance, leaving him on disability. Many attacks later, he remains wheelchair-bound. His legs never cease to hurt, he lives with unbearable pain in his head, and the constant vertigo he suffers makes him vomit multiple times a day.

As you can imagine, his happiness and desire for life has gone downhill drastically. I am starting this fundraiser because there is a procedure that could help him to get his life back. I want to see him smile, walk, and live without pain. I want him to know what it feels like to not be entirely dependent on others for basic human needs.

This disease will continue attacking his brain and spine indefinitely. But there is a program that could save him, and it has a very high success rate. He has already been accepted—now he just needs the means to pay for the program. Other programs cost upward of $50,000; this program has accepted him for $15,000. We need all the help we can get, as our family’s financial situation is very grim.
