Family in need of assistance after house fire
Donation protected
What would you do if you had a house fire and found yourself homeless a month before Christmas? What about if your only livelihood was making products in a kitchen you no longer had… with no money to purchase supplies to make what you need to sell… and in addition you now needed to replace the majority of ALL of your belongings?
This just happened to a family in Castlegar… my friend Betty and her kids no longer have a place to call home and she is now out of a job.
I’m asking our amazing community to help out a family in dire need… if you can’t help please share to spread the word!
If you’ve ever attended a farmers market or craft fair in Castlegar you probably know who Betty is. You can see her beaming smile from across the room and her passion and skill for her product are unsurpassed by few.
Betty just changed her business from bath bombs to unique spicy jellies… it was a nerve wracking decision but one that has paid off… they are absolutely delicious (no surprise there)
She was SO excited and working non stop to prep for the upcoming Christmas markets… but all of her dreams of earning the bulk of her yearly income has come to an immediate halt. Not only the shock of having no home, but now the stress of not knowing how she will make ends meet in the upcoming months.
Her and her children are safe but she needs our help! Please donate what you can, if you’d prefer to drop off gift cards for gas, groceries etc you can contact me, Melissa Haney and I will arrange to get them to her.
Replacements needed for her to get her business up and running:
- 250ml regular mouth canning jars (cases of them)
- Canning equipment
- Gift cards to grocery stores to buy the ingredients for her jelly
Thanks for reading this and your support in whatever way you are able to!
