On March 19 , 2024 my daughters Adalene age 8 and Annemarie age 5 along with my 1 year old niece Mia & sister in law Rosa were involved in a very bad car accident. The car they were in flipped over the side of the canyon & all were ejected from the vehicle. At this time it’s determined that the back tire popped & caused my sister in law to lose control of the vehicle. Thank god for the great samaritans who helped my family in this life or death situation. Without those whom helped my family we would have faced the worst news of not being able to have them here today.
Adalene age 8 has multiple injuries which include a cracked spleen, bruised lung , and a punctured liver that is causing internal bleeding along with road rash all over her body/lacerations. She also has cracked front adult teeth which will not be covered by insurance. Adalene will need physical therapy to regain her strength in her legs to walk again. Adalene had to get an emergency blood transfusion while being cared for at kern medical center. Which she had to be air lifted to children’s hospital for the internal bleeding.
Annemarie age 5 who was air lifted the day of the accident has a full broken jaw, mouth injuries, a laceration of six inches underneath her chin, along with multiple abrasions from road rash. Annemarie will be needing facial reconstruction, which she will have to see a facial surgeon regularly. She also requires physical therapy as well. She was air lifted to kern valley hospital then transferred to children’s hospital.
Rosa age 26 a mother of 4 children was the driver in the accident was also ejected from the vehicle. Rosa’s injuries include a broken neck, and nerve damage and severe lacerations to 80% of her body. She also has a shattered knee . Rosa will undergo surgery and at this moment it’s not guaranteed she will make it through. God willing if she does, Rosa will be sent to a rehabilitation center to help her learn how to walk again and help her recover from all her injuries. Mia age 1 who is Rosa’s daughter had little to no injuries during this accident. We thank god for being with her and everyone else involved in this situation.
Our family is asking for help for medical costs for all three parties. No donation is to small.
