For over 30 years, Margie Yurtinus has been turning Hernando County's Kindergarteners into independent thinkers. In her classroom, children have transformed into Colonial boys and girls, gone on mock flights around the world, and learned to cook a Thanksgiving feast from scratch. Her students didn't just learn about various settings, rather they became part of the setting. As a parent who has been lucky enough to have both of my children a part of her lessons, I eagerly yurn to send her on her own worldly travels. I would love for her to be the main character in a real-life retirement travel adventure story. Her passion for travel and making memories is evident in the way she shares real bear skin from her cabin out west and never attends an event without a camera in hand. She has instilled confidence in her students by encouraging them to do their best and has taught them to think for themselves without being afraid. If you were blessed as I was to have Ms. Yurtinus for your child, or even yourself, I ask you to please consider supporting this collection to send her into retirement writing her own story. I can assure you she will greatly appreciate it.
