I have recently come to terms with being a victim of sexual assault and rape. Through my journey of healing and acceptance i have found the power to take back my autonomy. To signify my courage and freedom i will be walking the Isle of Wight coastal path. This will be a personal pilgrimage to mark the closing of a chapter in my life. Coming to terms with this has opened my eyes to how prevalent this issue is and I have a surge of passion and a feeling of duty to do my bit for every women who hasn't had the opportunity to speak up. I plan to embark on this journey at the end of July.
