Costs for College

Hi, my name is Sean Russell Jr and I am a senior graduating from Pittsburgh Westinghouse Highschool. I am a low-income first-generation African-American fundraising for my college years.

 

I currently live in Pittsburgh and will be attending Stanford University where I intend to major in bioengineering. I have a passion for giving back to the world and feel this major will lead to fulfilling this desire. I will be on a full-ride scholarship earned from the Gates Foundation. Gates will cover the cost of college, some visits back home, and a laptop. But with going from Pittsburgh to California each time, the cost of plane tickets may become an issue over time.

 

This financial burden may limit my ability to fully apply myself to my college education and would be preferred to not be present.

In addition, I may use the donations toward other college-related expenses. Any leftover money will go to my savings account.
