Help Tytan Conquer ALL

Donation protected
On October 3, 2016, our family received devastating news that our Mighty Tytan has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), nevertheless we know he will defeat this. His condition was so life threatening that Tytan immediately began his treatment to conquer ALL on October 4th. He underwent aggressive procedures and treatments during his month long stay. He is now on his second phase of chemotherapy and has at least six more months of intensive therapy, before having to do three years of maintenance. This journey will be a total of 3 1/2 years to treat this curable cancer and get Tytan back to his normal 10 year-old self.

A week prior to being diagnosed, Tytan was a healthy, active boy. He began to complain of a mild headache and stomachache. A few days later, they were accompanied by nausea & vomiting. Then, random bruises began to appear, along with sporadic little red spots, called petechia; then, his nose started to bleed. He was taken to the ER, where they too, presumed it was the flu; it was never projected to be something as severe as ALL.

Those that know Tytan, describe him as a “great kid with a cool personality”. They know his character to be nothing less than pleasant, affectionate, generous, protective, selfless; a child of God; plus, he has a great sense of humor. Prior to this news, he enjoyed participating in a variety of recreational activities  (Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Kaju, and Camping). Tytan absolutely adores animals & reptiles; if he could own a zoo that would make him the happiest camper, but he’s perfectly content with his dogs, bearded dragon and fish.  He has respect for our US  Armed Forces,  including Police, Sheriffs and Firefighters. He loves interactive play (Legos, board /card games, Marvel & DC action figures, and PS4). Favorably, his character remains intact, he has been resilient throughout his  whole ordeal and continues to be a courageous warrior.

During the next phases before maintenance, neither of his parents will be able to continue to work full time to financially provide like they have been.  His condition prevents him from being able to attend regular school, therefore he is being homeschooled. He was sent home at the end of October to continue treatment which consists of weekly outpatient procedures and chemotherapy four times a week, and around the clock care and monitoring. On Thanksgiving day, Tytan was readmitted for a high fever and is still in the hospital. Although insurance will cover most of his medical expenses, there are other accumulating expenses not covered by insurance, lost salaries and unforeseen circumstances. This fund will help alleviate some of the stress and hardships, and permit his parents to focus their care on Tytan and allow him to continue living his life with normality while undergoing treatment.

We are extremely grateful to have an incredible family and a bunch of loving friends who have been emotionally supportive; some have also con tributed by donating food and care packages that consist of small medical supplies to toys and games, which keep Tytan’s mind preoccupied.  Not to mention, he has also received an outpouring of love and support from his peers via Facetime, letters, cards and visits.

To all of you that are taking Tytan’s fund into consideration, please accept our sincere appreciation, in advance, for all the help, support and positivity; be it monetary, a prayer or even sharing this post. We thank all of you for the generosity & thoughtfulness.

 Nonetheless, Tytan will conquer ALL.

His full name does mean, "One who is strong and powerful...difficult to conquer."
