Tyson’s Kidney Transplant

Tyson is our son, brother, and friend. He has been fighting a battle for his life since before he was born. While in the womb with his twin brother, Derek, his family learned that he was in total kidney failure with a very slim chance of survival after birth. He beat the odds but has been living without functional kidneys and continues to fight for his life every day. Tyson finally has the opportunity to receive a kidney transplant, and his surgery will be happening very soon!

Tyson is a great kid. He is witty and loves to make others laugh. He is always looking to make friends and has been known to become buddies with others who are experiencing life challenges or struggling to fit in. Tyson likes to lift others spirits with his humor or through sharing his deep inner wisdom.

As he has suffered from the life-long challenges associated with severe kidney disease, he has yet to experience life from a place where he feels healthy, vibrant, and well. This kidney transplant will change Tyson’s life forever. While we know that Tyson will gain so much as it relates to his health and quality of life, he will also face a lifetime of continued medications and healthcare costs.

Any funds gathered will go towards helping with out-of-pocket medical expenses and other needs Tyson and his family may have while he undergoes treatment and recovery. We are hoping he can focus on experiencing a healthy life and continue to enrich the lives of those who surround him.
