Our sweet Tyson who has Down syndrome has been suffering from some eye issues over the last 4 years. On May 15, 2013 Tyson had to have a cornea transplant due to a degenerative cornea so that he would not lose his eyesight out of his left eye. This is an issue possible with individuals who are diagnosed with down syndrome. Tyson currently still has stitches in his eye from the surgery that were suppose to remain in for at least a year but have been in way beyond the time due to financial and insurance problems. This would normally be an outpatient procedure but Tyson has to be put under anthesia because he will not stay still. His current insurance is not taken by the eye surgeon and his family is unable to afford the surgery due to financial issues. Please help us get these stitches out so that he can also return to the eye doctor to receive the correct eye prescription to improve his eyesight. Prayers are greatly appreciated for this young man, he has a spirit that brightens everyone he comes into contact with! Tyson would love to pass out hugs (and show his muscles ) to anyone who is so gracious to help!
