Hearing the news that my daughter was having her first son brought me so much joy! My three year old granddaughter kept saying she wanted a little baby sister until she laid eyes on her baby brother and it was love at first sight! My oldest ganddaughter never expected a little brother and the love she has for him is immeasurable. Tyson Jonni was born on august 29th, 2016 at 36 weeks and was immediately admitted to newborn intensive care unit to be treated and for; prematurity, acute hyperkalemia, acute hyperglycemia, gross hematuria, acute renal failure syndrome, undescended testes, congenital posterior urethral valve, hypocalcemia, neonatal anemia, pneumomediastinum and polyuria.

With all his diagnosis his life expectancy was grim; however Tyson (my grandson) is a fighter and has continued fighting for his life! At one month of age Tyson had his first of many surgeries to resolve his undescended teste, congenital urethral valve, and install a G Tube as he does not take a bottle feeding like majority of infants. With Tyson being diagnosed with acute renal failure (Kidney Disease) he has to be fed thru a tube that is connected to his stomach. Bottle feeding your baby is a bonding time that all parents look forward to and was one of the greatest joys Tyson's parents shared with their other children.

With the severity
of his diagnosis at such a young age there is not a doctor in New Mexico that can perform the required surgery. His specific diagnosis is extremely rare and is only seen once every five years. The NM nephrologist team has referred him to the best Kidney specialist at Stanford Health care in California. Tyson and his parents will have to travel to Stanford health care on a regular basis for his countless medical requirements that will lead up to a kidney transplant and a long duration of post recovery for him, and after the transplant Tyson and his parents will be in California for an unknown duration of time. They are hoping that one of them will be a match as a donor, and if this is the case it leaves one parent to care for the donor parent as well as Tyson after the transplant , which will cease all opportunities for either parent to provide financial support for the family while in post recovery . Donations will help with additional medical expenses, travel expenses, hotel, airfare, and transportation.

Tyson is one of the happiest babies and brings so much love to everyone around him! His smile can brighten a room and he as well as his family greatly appreciates anything you can assist him with his tenuous fight!
