Collection for Tysoe Cat Crisis

Donation protected
UPDATE:
Thankyou for all of your donations so far! Your donations have funded the 9 kittens we had in our care who have now all moved on to be rehomed to loving homes as well as the many feral cats we have looked after and treated. What a success!

However, we still need your help!!!
We currently have a cat that has just given birth to 5 kittens in our care who we are now fundraising for as they will all need veterinary treatment soon too. We have also rescued 4 newborn kittens that were found on top of a shed roof!!! They are all doing well but 1 may need an operation to fix her leg as it looks that she has Swimmers Syndrome which can happen due to poor nutrition in the mother during pregnancy. They will also need the relevant veterinary treatment listed.

In the coming weeks we will be moving onto the next lot of feral cats in the village. We believe there to be around 7 feral cats to catch with at least 1 of them that looks to be pregnant.

So far we have rescued over 60 cats and kittens with the help of other members of the village and local charities.

Thankyou again and please share this page to help us with donations.

Original Story:
Hello, as you all know over the last few years cats and kittens have been multiplying in Tysoe - they have endured harsh winters, experienced numerous pregnancies and many have died due to lack of veterinary care.

Over the last month or so, several members of the village and various charities have been involved to capture, look after and treat these cats and kittens with the hope they can soon be released safely (if they are too feral to be socialised) or hopefully rehomed into loving homes.

For those of you who don’t know the enormity of the situation, we have trapped over 60 cats and kittens so far from just one area of Tysoe and we still have lots more to work through!

To house just one of these cats or kittens and get them proper veterinary care, please see below the average list of costs:

Food
Cat Litter
Flea & Worming Treatment
Testing for Feline Leukaemia & AIDS - £77.00
If positive they must be put to sleep - £113.37
Vaccinations 9-12wks old - £114.59
Neutering male - £77.72
Spaying female - £110.26
Not considering the time and effort to feed these cats and kittens multiple times a day, purchasing traps, cages, bedding, toys, bowls, unexpected vet treatments and visits due to illness.

For the cats and kittens we are currently looking after, a lot of these costs have had to come out of our own pocket.

We all know that money is tight but if you can spare anything we would be incredibly grateful. Any donation you can give is very much appreciated.

This GoFundMe page is set up for the ones we are currently looking after and for the next wave we will be trapping and caring for, all donations will go towards upkeep of caring for them all and veterinary treatments.

Thankyou so much for the support and if you would like more information please get in touch.
