Rufus, the pharaoh hound that has made millions smile and laugh when he went viral and appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America for his photos and videos. He is our special goofball who is always smiling and will do anything for a treat (check out the smile video and his popular photos in the links below.)

Rufus really needs a little help right now!

He currently has zero platelets (Thrombocytopenia) which is causing a wide range of other major issues, all of which can be treated!

He has spent sleepless and sad nights in the ER and now in the internal medicine unit all bruised and swollen. He has many more nights, tests, transfusions and medications etc.. to come. He has to stay there so they can monitor his dropping red blood cell count but we just want him to come home to snuggle with his little sister and hog our queen size bed. With the right treatment and medication the doctors are very confident that will happen.

As most pet owners know, the vet bills reach tens of thousands of dollars very quickly and are.

Many people think it's crazy to spend this much money on "a dog" but he is family and worth every penny.
