Unreal that Mr Donaldson and Mr Bautista would take time to do this for me. GO BLUE JAYS!!

My name is Tyrus Sleightholme I am a 19 yr old University student from Victoria BC Canada who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Despite CF I am currently playing collegiate level baseball while attending Fraser Valley University in Abbotsford BC Canada.
CF is a fatal genetic disease which impacts the lungs and digestive system. There is no cure.
I currently take approximately 50 pills a day and breath in 3 separate medications a day ( 1.5 hrs) , and give himself a shot in the stomach every night.
I refuse to complain about my CF and try and use it as motivation to acheive my goals and hopefully be an inspiration to others with challenges in their lives.
I do everything possible to remain healthy by working out intensly, following all his medications and living a healthy lifestyle.
I realizes that not everyone with CF is as fortuate as I am and I want to do everything he can to live my life to the fullest. I hopes that other people afflicted by serious conditions will be inspired to go after their dreams and fight hard to live as full a life as possible.
I beleive I am one of the first people ever with CF to play junior hockey (goalie) and now I am one of the first with CF to play college baseball.
You can find a story on the Canadian CF Foundation website under the tab "your impact" and "hear from our CF Champions" from when I was 17 yrs old

I am trying hard to be an inspiration to young children and now I have an opportunity to follow my dreams and reach more people.
The cost to attend the college away from home is very challenging and in order to attend and be able to purse my dreams I needs help with covering medical expenses, tuition, accommodation and travel. The University I am playing baseball for is out of town and I will require a residence and other specialized equipment due to my medical condition.
I will be working in the off season and will be obtaining student loans however the cost of four-five years will be very difficult to handle.
My dad is also doing everything he can to help with the costs. He works full time as a Police Officer and also runs a junk hauling business on his days off to make extra money. I would really like him to be able to slow down a bit and be able to attend some of my games but he is doing everything he can to help me acheive my goals.

This hockey picture was my first start in Junior hockey.
Please donate if you can and help me continue to be one of the first with Cystic Fibrosis to play college baseball. I will continue to try and

be a source of inspiration for any child suffering from a serious illness showing that anything is possible! Five (5) Percent of all donations will go towards the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!

Prior to heading off to University the Make a Wish Foundation suprised me with an amazing few days which included baseball gear , two awesome nights in Vancouver with my dad and I also got to throw out the first pitch at a Vancouver Candians game. What a fabulous oganization which I hope to help with some of their future actvities.
If that was not enough they even reached out to the Toronto Blue Jays and after explaining my story I received two autographed jerseys , one from Josh Donaldson and one from Jose Bautista. I may never reach their level of play but I promise to get every last amount of ability I have out of my body.
Thank you for your support and together we can beat Cystic Fibrosis and show others that anything is possible!
