On Friday, January 25, 2019, Tyrone Tucker Jr. (32yr) was shot and killed after heading home after work. The shooting happened at the corner of South Prairie Avenue and 130th Street in Hawthorne. It is with great and humble hands the family is requesting any financial help to ease this great burden of sorrow.

Under these sudden and tragic circumstances, TYRONE TUCKER JR. LEAVES BEHIND HIS LOVING DAUGHTER, Catalaya ( Age 4 ) and a large loving family completely shocked by this tragedy.

Tyrone was a dedicated father attending school and pursuing a better life. He was going to school to become a plumber while working in construction to provide for his family.

Tucker had no gang affiliation.
The family does not want revenge.
They’re making a PLEA TO THE COMMUNITY FOR TIPS. Hawthorne police did not immediately release a description of the suspects or the suspect vehicle. The only fact released is that the vehicle fled westbound on 130th street after the shooting.

“Turn yourself in. You took somebody’s father away. And a good man. And a good person. Turn yourself in. Do the right thing. He didn’t deserve this. And all this pain and hurt,” said the victim’s wife Candi.
