“Your sons have been in a car accident…,” eight words a mother never wants to hear. But on 09/21/2021 those were the words being said to me by an Emergency Room doctor at Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). My sons, Tyree “Jumpman” Lovette and Tyvon “Von” Lovette had been in a car accident. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this was the beginning of a fight for their lives and my own. Although full details of the crash are still unclear, we do know that after hitting a car, the boys hit a cement pole while traveling down Pine Hills Road.
Tyvon suffered a fractured knee cap, a fractured wrist and an internal bleed from the liver. Tyvon has undergone 3 surgeries to repair the fractures and stop the internal bleeding.
Tyree suffered a broken neck, a displaced hip and has been in a coma since the accident. Although multiple brain scans and test have shown no brain damage, we are still awaiting Tyree to regain consciousness. Tyree had surgery to repair his broken neck and is still needing surgery to repair his hip, however, doctors are waiting on him to become more stable before proceeding.
Their Father and I have spent every single day since the accident, by their sides, either rotating between both boys together or splitting up and making sure each of our boys had one of us by their side. While Covid-19 has not allowed us to be by their sides 24/7, we have been able to spend visiting hours with them. As you can imagine, the road to recovery for both boys will be long and filled with many speed bumps along the way. However, we are trusting God and his abilities to heal our boys back to their normal health and allow them to be a living testimony to God’s healing powers. We are asking for your help with the many expenses that insurance doesn’t cover including but not limited to gas to and from the hospital daily, Physical Therapy, meals, home health aids, copays, deductibles, hospital bills, home bills, etc.
“And my God will meet your needs according to the riches of his glory.” Philippians 4:19
