Recently Vietnam has been hit by Typhoon Yagi which has caused devastating consequences for the Northern provinces. One of the strongest storms in the last 30 years and the damage has been indescribable.

I live in Sa Pa one of the mountainous provinces in the North of Vietnam, and we have experienced unbelievable devastation from the storm, including landslides, flooding and huge loss of life.

A lot of people in my community have been affected by the landslides and flooding and critical infrastructure, including roads have been destroyed, making it difficult to get help to those who desperately need it.

My community has experienced a lot of destruction. Many people have been forced to flee quickly leaving everything behind as they watched their homes be swept away. Many families have been displaced and are now living in temporary accommodations such as schools, many of these families with young children and vulnerable elderly. The roads up to the smaller communities at the top of the mountains have been destroyed, and therefore these vulnerable people cannot access supplies.

I’m therefore I am starting this fundraiser to raise funds to go towards food , clothing, supplies, medicine and building materials to provide to those families that have been impacted by the natural disasters. A small amount can go along way out here, so please donate what you can anything will help my community to recover from this.
