Typhoon Odette Destroyed My Mother-In-Law's Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Pablo Pacheco Jr., and on December 16th 2021 Super Typhoon Rai (known as “Odette” in the Philippines) hit the country. It is the strongest storm of 2021. The typhoon made landfall with winds at 160 mph. Throughout the day it moved through the Philippines and eventually destroyed my mother-in-law's home, along with most of her son’s and neighbor's homes as well. At least 300,000 people were evacuated ahead of landfall and millions were affected. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, more than 10,000 villages were in the path of the typhoon. I am inviting you to please help my wife and I help rebuild our families homes in the Philippines. I thank God that all of my wife's immediate family members survived the catastrophe with their lives. We are hoping to raise these funds as quickly as possible for they are using tarps to protect themselves from the elements until their homes could be rebuilt. Below are some photos of my Mother-In-Law's home before and after being hit by the typhoon. The first three pictures are of my mother-in-law’s home, and the remaining pictures are of my brother-in-law’s homes. In the first picture, my wife and I are speaking with one of my my brother-in-laws in front of my mother-in-law’s home before it was destroyed:
