My name is Brianna Kelly and I have been blessed with the opportunity to join The Creative Mind Group in this year’s 2016 Cannes Film festival.
Ever since I was a child I have always wanted people to see my vision. During Thanksgiving I would always write mini plays, and as a child I use to lock my self in my room for hours and write. Fast forwarding to the present I have realized that not only do I want to write my story; I want to help it come to life. This means editing, directing, and even producing. Throughout my 21 years of living I have fallen in love with ever aspect of film, and I know now that this is what I want to do, but I need to start somewhere.
Cannes Creative Minds Group is an exceptional internship opportunity that offers elite knowledge to the youths. Being accepted to this program is an honor, but unfortunately this opportunity is not free.
With the help of your kind donations I will be able to travel to France for a week to study under professionals in the film industry. I will also be given an internship opportunity to showcase my talent as well as expand my knowledge in film. I am a senior at Hampton University, and any donation will be much appreciated. The due date is March 7th, 2016, and even though this is soon, I know with you help I can do it. Help me get to France, Help me start a new beginning. Help me become the next African American female director.
