On September 16th, 2021 The Breeden family's world was turned upside down. Monday, September 13th Tyler Breeden, a 27 year old husband and father was seen in the E.R. for nausea and dehydration after testing positive for Covid-19. Tyler was sent home to recuperate but his symptoms worsened and he was admitted to the Martha Jefferson ICU on the 16th. The virus had begun aggressively attacking Tyler's lungs and later that day he was placed on a ventilator due to pneumonia. The following day Tyler was transferred to UVA Hospital where he was placed on an ECMO machine. This machine (which is similar to a heart and lung by-pass machine) pumps and oxygenates blood outside of the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest. While Tyler has made some progress, he remains in the ICU and is considered critical. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him but his family knows he is strong and wants so much to be able to hold his 9 month old daughter Guinevere and hug his wife Joanna. It is our hope that we can all come together to provide support for this young family in need. If you know Tyler, you know he has a heart of gold and a strong faith in the Lord. He is such a giver, offering his time helping with the church youth group, choir, and friends/family in general. Let us take a turn to help him and his beautiful family in their time of need. Prayers first and foremost, but also financial support. Donations of any amount are appreciated as we try to help offset some of the financial burden his family will incur.
