Help Tyler Clark Recover After a Life-Saving Kidney & Pancreas Transplant

Hi, my name is Brianna, and I’m fundraising for my brother, Tyler Clark.

Tyler has been fighting for his life since the day he was born.

He was born with kidney failure and spent months in the hospital on dialysis until our late father gave him a second chance at life by donating his kidney when Tyler was just 2 years old. Because of that gift, Tyler was able to grow up and experience a somewhat normal childhood.

But at just 15 years old, Tyler was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes — and from that moment on, his life became a constant battle.

Over the years, Tyler has endured countless hospital visits, ongoing dialysis, and serious infections. Last summer, he suffered a life-threatening infection that put him in the ICU, where he had to be intubated and placed on life support. We almost lost him.

Through all of this, Tyler never gave up. He kept believing that one day, he would get the transplant that could finally change his life.

That day finally came.

On April 9th, Tyler got the call to go to Vancouver once again — not knowing if it would be another heartbreak or the miracle we had been waiting for. After testing, doctors confirmed it was a match.

Tyler underwent a 10-hour surgery to receive a donor kidney and pancreas.

The transplant was a success.

This surgery has given Tyler something he hasn’t had in a long time — real hope for a future.

But his journey isn’t over yet.

Tyler must remain in Vancouver for the next 3 months to recover, attend frequent medical appointments, and ensure his body accepts the transplant. During this time, he is unable to work and will face significant financial pressure from:

• Temporary living expenses in Vancouver

• Travel costs

• Medications and recovery-related needs

• Loss of income

Tyler has always done his best to work and support himself despite his health challenges, but right now, he needs help.
