Who is Tyler?

He is my everything, a fighter, my husband and the father of our great kids :) His health problems came on suddenly, at age 27 he is fighting for his life. Our kids are too young to fully understand what is going on with their dad but, they are there for their dad everyday. Even with Tyler confined mostly to the bed, we all find ways to spend time together and stay positive.
He often says "If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any at all". It's his way of being funny and brushing this whole situation off but we can't deny all the bad luck that has come his way these past 3 years. Even so, he fights every day and remains in the best of spirits for himself and his family. He truly is an amazing person.

What Happened:
In 2014 my husband's femur broke while at work. Soon after he was diagnosed with a usually benign rare tumor called: Giant cell tumor of the bone. Which, affects 1 in 1 million people per year.  The tumor had been eating his bone. He then had surgery to remove it.
A year later the tumor recurred and this time it had turned cancerous. He then had surgery once again, this time for removal and to put in a full femoral implant with a total knee. Tyler also underwent 6 months of inpatient chemotherapy.
That brings us to now, 2 years after the second recurrence. The tumor is not only back, but it is now in his lungs. The doctors recommend he now undergo a third and fourth surgery. One, this Thursday Jan. 19th to have his leg amputated. Another surgery will occur when he recovers enough from the amputation to have surgery on his right lung to remove the 3 tumors there.
