As most already know, Tyler was involved in a serious motorcycle accident, to no fault of his own, on Thursday, April 12, 2018. While driving home, a car in a turning lane pulled out in front of him. While he was incredibly lucky to survive the accident, he was left with serious injuries. He was flown to Lafayette General where he received life saving treatment! He went through emergency surgery for a busted artery as well as undergone surgery for a broken pelvis and shattered knee cap. He is still waiting on treatment for a major scrotal laceration. It will be a long recovery and he will be wheelchair bound for at least three months. He has been so strong and positive through these times!
Tyler Myers is the owner of Typhoon Tattoos in Eunice Louisiana. He is well known and loved in the community. He’s a hardworking and talented family man. A great father to a seven year old boy and an eight year old girl, as well as a wonderful partner to his fiancé who are all waiting anxiously for him to return home. The incident has been hard on Tyler as well as the family and friends.
We are asking for support for his recovery as well as medical expenses and supplemental income. Tyler will be out of work and will need help with these transitions. His fiancé has been out of work caring for him and will continue to do so when he is finally able to go home.
We are lucky to have Tyler still with us, it has made us realize how anything can happen at a moments notice, so appreciate what you have, enjoy life to the fullest and wear a helmet!
Thank you for everyone’s support, prayers, phone calls, visits and thoughts. We are blessed to have amazing people to help get us through this.
