On April 26th, Tyler went into cardiac arrest following an open heart surgery. During the 40 minutes of CPR, he suffered a large stroke on the right side of his brain. He spent 9 days on life support, and is now in the process of healing. Because of the cognitive and motor damage from his stroke, he has a long road ahead of him with hospitals and rehabilitation.
