Many of you know my husband, Tyler Hunt's kidneys failed in January 21 of 2020. He immediately had to be placed on emergency dialysis. He started hemodialysis 3 days a week at Laurinburg Dialysis Center. After 3 months, he got placed on PD, which is another form of dialysis. Only it doesn’t involve blood; it's sugar water that uses the lining of your abdomen as a filter to clean your blood. He stayed on PD for 4 years, then transitioned to home hemodialysis as PD stopped cleaning his blood.
On July 13th, Tyler got a phone call from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital stating they had Tyler a kidney. We were ecstatic . We arrived at the hospital, and they began the process. Tyler now has a new kidney. We are looking to be up here for 4 weeks because of having to go back and forth from our home to here. It’s a 2 hour and 30 minute drive. We are asking for donations to help with gas, food, and a hotel stay so we don’t have to drive home then come back for follow-up appointments. Anything is appreciated, and we are very thankful . I can’t begin to thank everyone enough for prayers .
