Helping Tyler focus on healing

Donation protected
If you’ve known Tyler or our family for a long time, you’ve watched my brother live through things that would’ve taken most people out, and you’ve seen God work miracle after miracle in his life. No matter what stage of life Tyler has ever been in, he would (and has, does, and will continue to) give his last dime and/or the shirt off his back to a total stranger without hesitation. That’s our brother, y’all.

He has worked very very hard for the last few years to get things on track, get debts paid back, and begin the next (amazing) chapter of his life, and giving God the glory for it all (and if you’ve ever stood near him at church, you know). He even bought himself a truck and this was like a token of success for where he is in life now.

If you haven’t followed our posts for the last day or so, our brother is in Indianapolis for work and drove through black ice Monday morning. The van plunged 20 feet into a ravine after hitting a concrete culvert (sound like 2013 to anyone else?). Tyler’s left leg is badly broken in multiple places, his left hand/wrist are badly broken, and and numerous ribs are fractured. His face/head to a good bit of the impact and we may be looking at skin grafts for his eyelid. Tyler underwent reconstructive surgery to the left leg Monday afternoon. We are awaiting more decisions from his medical team so we don’t know how long he will be in Indianapolis, and certainly don’t know how long he’ll be off work.

If you’ve seen any of his recent pictures, he has a very physically intense job and because of these injuries, he obviously won’t be able to work anytime soon. Even through all of the ordeal with this horrible accident, every time I talk to him he gets upset about finances and not knowing what he’s going to do, and worrying that these last few years of such hard work will be for nothing.
He doesn’t like to ask for help, but so many people have already been so generous and many more have asked how they can help, so our family wanted to give this option, should anyone want to help in this way.
We have attached the gofundme link and will add my Venmo tag at the end of this post. All money received through this gofundme or to my Venmo account will be paid toward his truck payment/medical bills and expenses incurred while he’s in Indianapolis.

Our hearts are already completely overwhelmed at the generosity, love, support, and unbelievable encouragement you all have poured out to our entire family, and “thank you” could never be enough. Friends, family, and total strangers from all across the country have reached out to offer help and prayers, and we honestly don’t know how people manage hard times like this without a village.

Above all else, please continue to pray. Our biggest prayer request at this very moment is that his pain can stay controlled. We love you all, and couldn’t get through this without you all holding us up!
