Tyler's Goal: Beat this Challenge

Tyler's Goal 

Tyler has been a goalie with Max Pro Jets  Hockey Club for years. Tyler's improvement just from last year to this has made him a key part of the U14 Elite team.  It's a result of a lot of hard work and consistent, effective training.

Now coming up on his fourteenth birthday, he told his dad about hip pains, not uncommon in goalies. Doctors couldn't find anything wrong. Then Tyler complained of stomach pains, and his doctor checked his blood.  The next day the Gates family learned of Tyler's leukemia.

Tyler is receiving treatment and is responding very well. He's had a few rounds of chemo so far and is home now after a couple weeks in the hospital.

Now, Tyler needs our help.

We know the struggle Tyler and his family face in coming times. We understand his solo-parent dad, Mike, will likely need to miss significant periods of work. Let's expand Tyler's Team beyond his family to include his hockey club and friends and the community around him. 

We're trying to raise $100,000 for Tyler’s medical and other expenses. 

We've set a really high mark to help cover the unexpected costs everyone encounters with a life-changing illness like this, from extra care at home, to medical bills, to who knows what.
