Tyler Vaders Injury Fundraiser

Hello everyone! My name is Kyle, thank you for considering our Gofundme.

Recently my brother Tyler had an accident while at work installing a window. Tyler fell about 3 stories from the side of an apartment building resulting in some pretty serious injuries. 4 broken ribs, a punctured chest cavity, broken arm, broken foot, and the worst was a broken pelvis, specifically the sacrum. The sacrum is where the pelvis and spine meet and is a hub for the nerves leaving the spine going to the hips and legs. After a whole day in surgery, the spinal surgeons were able to reconstruct his pelvis with rods and pins to support his spine and pelvis. He is also getting both his foot and arm rebuilt with more pins, rods, and screws.

Tyler will have about 7-10 days in the hospital followed up with some assisted living while his pelvis is healing. He will not be able to walk for up to 12 weeks to ensure the bones heal correctly. This will be followed by a long period of physical therapy to re-learn basic things like walking. The whole process will be an incredibly difficult and long road of recovery, but I know Tyler will heal and be as strong as ever.

As most of you may know, Tyler is a strong and tough individual who would never ask for help, even if he needed it. This Gofundme is aimed at providing funding to Tyler, his girlfriend Cady, and their daughter Huntley to help support the financial burden of recovery. Tyler will will be off his feet for up to 3 months and away from work even longer. Cady is being an amazing partner and is sacrificing her own income to provide critical support for Tyler and his recovery. The hope is to support them finacially with mortgage, food, and other utilities for the first part of the healing process. 100% of the funds raised will be given to Tyler and Cady.
