Update for March 2, 2024

Hi friends,

We wanted to update that all the municipal process that Chelsea has gone through has paid off! The bench is…READY! Thank you SO much for your generosity. It means so, so much.

The bench is open to everyone at the top of Diefenbaker Park. If you follow up top where the fountain is, it is just behind in a really beautiful spot. You could access via the top street there or walk up from below.

Please share this info with anyone who may want it. We will have an official get together there when it’s feeling right for the Brysons. In the meantime, please go spend some time there, should you feel inclined.

Update for Oct 20, 2023*

Hi lovely people,

The Brysons have chosen a location for the bench and have submitted the request for a new bench including the engraving. We are looking forward to hearing what’s next. We suspect it will take approx 5-6 months of time until the bench is ready at Diefenbaker Park. We will keep everyone posted.

We lost the wonderful Tyler this May and have felt the tremendous loss across our families, friends, colleagues and many others. 

To have a place to sit, reflect and enjoy the beautiful memories that Tyler imparted on us, we would like to raise the funds for a memorial bench within the community he grew up in and to have a place that we can all use to connect and reflect. 

Location: Diefenbaker Park as it holds a special meaning for Tyler and his family.
