Tyler Steffey's Cancer Battle

Traditional chemotherapy has stopped working.  Katy and I want to personally thank each and every one of our family and friends for their support during our journey with osteosarcoma.  I was diagnosed on Dec. 21, 2018.  Your positive thoughts and prayers have meant more than you can possibly imagine.  During most every contact you have told us to “just ask” if there is anything you can do to support us through this battle.  Well, we are now asking.  Many of you have already supported us financially and for that we are very thankful.  This “ask” is not for you.  Any financial amount is greatly appreciated.  Please keep us in your prayers and add me to any prayer list you know of.  I know we can win this battle!

 

As of this writing, Cancer has spread to both lungs and it is back in my left leg where it started, although not in the bone, but soft tissue.  We are investigating several exciting options at several cancer centers including MD Anderson in Houston, TX.  Other currently planned visits include Dallas, Minnesota and Chicago.  Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are finding that many studies have been either postponed or stopped.  We are looking at all options including immunotherapy and several unconventional approaches.  Most of the cancer center’s assessments require travel and lodging. Because of the pandemic, travel is by car with expensive lodging.  Some of the treatment options we are considering are not covered by insurance.
