Tyler Pope’s Kidney Transplant

Tyler has had a kidney disease since birth. He has seen a nephrologist once a year. In October 2021 Tyler had a routine appointment, after blood work the doctor saw a huge flex in numbers that ultimately made it time for transplant. Tyler will be off from work for a significant amount of time. As well as huge medical expenses.

Tyler is married to Alisha and they have 2 young children. He is a firefighter for Abilene Regional Airport for the last 6 years and worked as an EMT in Anson for 5 years, along with being on the volunteer dept in Anson for 10 years. 

We will be staying in San Antonio for about a month and will have 20 follow up visits in San Antonio, the first year after transplant.

Alisha’s cousin, Natalie is donating a kidney to Tyler. She has two young children. Her, he boyfriend, Andrew and her kids will be traveling from Kansas to San Antonio for the surgery.

These funds will go to paying hospital bills, lodging, travel and household bills.
