On the afternoon of 3/1/2019, my friend Jeauxsef "Tyler" Keating was run off the road by a careless driver while riding home on his motorcycle on the I-10 freeway in Phoenix, AZ. The crash nearly cost him his right leg as well as his life. Tyler suffered extensive injuries to his right leg which included two open fractures to his femur, partial tears to his ACL and MCL, a damaged meniscus, as well as a lacerated spleen and a torn left bicep. Those are only the injuries that can be seen; the traumatic experience has taken a toll on his psychological health. Recurring nightmares of the crash leave him sleepless at night and riding in vehicles requires an exhausting exercise of his mental will.
Tyler is in a strenuous battle recovering from his accident not only physically but financially. Money was already tight but he was managing to keep the household afloat. At the time of the accident he had just started out in a new career in the US Air Force Reserve after serving on active duty in the US Marine Corps. His wife Rebecca was attending college out of state and still has two years ahead of her. There is never a right time to have an accident, but this accident couldn’t have come at a worse time! His parents had to travel from Louisiana to Arizona, taking time away from their lives and jobs to provide the around-the-clock care Tyler requires and to help take care of his dogs Karl and Kota. This accident has not only impacted Tyler but has had a far-reaching effect on his family as well.
Please help us get my friend Tyler back on both feet again. He is slowly recovering from this devastating accident and is regaining the ability to walk, albeit with extreme physical pain. However, he still has a long battle ahead of him with an unsure future. The expenses from the accident are on-going with no end in sight. Your donation will go a long way in helping him make it there and will be greatly appreciated by Tyler and his family.
