Tyler Moniz

With a face overpouring with tears, I gratefully ask for your help.
My brother-in-law, a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, and an amazing friend to many was killed on July 8th, 2023 by a drunk driver on route 24.

Tyler and his friend Jay were coming home when a 35-year-old man crashed into Tyler's motorcycle, Tyler was ejected from his motorcycle into the woodline. He was instantly killed and pronounced dead on the scene. His friend Jay suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. The driver of the car was operating under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.

I don't know where or even how to sit here and ask for your donations. I can't even begin to sit here and tell you how amazing Tyler was. Tyler was only thirty years old, to be turning thirty-one on September 7th. I can't sit here and ask God over and over, why? Why him? Why so soon, he was so young. He was someone who would bend over backward to give anyone the shirt on his back. He was the type of person who never spoke badly of anybody instead he highlighted all the brighter things in life instead of the negative. He was such an amazing friendly, loving, naturing, caring, open-hearted, thoughtful person. He worked so hard to have everything he had. He tried to be an extraordinary father to his son whos nine years old today. And the most amazing, loving uncle to my seven-year-old son. He was somebody that anyone could count on, all you had to do was call. He is someone who longed for love and to be loved and cared about. There are a million things I can say about Tyler but that will not justify the fact that he is now gone. He won't get to see his son grow, or his nephew graduate, he won't be at our family gatherings anymore, and he won't be here anymore, only in our hearts.

And this was all because someone decided to drink and drive. My brother wasn't someone of wrongdoing, he had a heart of Gold. A heart that can never be replaced. His death wasn't a "shit happens, or he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, or it was an unfortunate situation" Tyler didn't take his life. A drunk driver took his life. Tyler didn't deserve this. He was a blessing to many of whom got to know him and got to know his pure true heart. He was more than just a friend to many, he was a brother.

So I gratefully ask you, if you have even $1 to spare to help his mom and dad, Frank and Chris pay for all these expenses that are to be expected. We pray that God multiples your gratitude. And we ask that you please, never forget the man Tyler was. The smile he carried on his face regardless of what situation he stood against. Please preserve your memories of him forever. Never forget how pure, and amazing Tyler was.

May he live forever in our hearts.
