Tesa's Rescue has been made aware of a poorly dog - Tyler, a very sweet Staffie with the most beautiful smile. His loving owner reached out, heartbroken and worried about his 14-year-old best friend. Tyler suddenly became unwell - panting heavily and presenting a really swollen neck. Unable to afford immediate veterinary care, his owner became increasingly concerned that Tyler's condition would worsen.

He was seen by our vet as soon as it was humanly possible. After sedation and a thorough examination, the vet found a puncture wound + swollen tonsils on the left side of his throat. While no foreign objects were found, cancer couldn't be completely ruled out. He was given a strong antibiotic injection and 2 weeks’ worth of tablets. Thankfully, Tyler is already showing signs of improvement and is resting comfortably back home with his very relieved and adoring owner. ❤️

The vet bill came to £617 - an overwhelming amount for a struggling pet owner, but a life saving intervention for a doggy who has been someone's loyal buddy for over a decade. Tyler’s owner called us angels but truly the real angels are those of you who help make this kind of emergency care possible by supporting our non-profit mission in any way ❤️❤️❤️
