Tyler Gonzales’s Motorcycle Accident

Hi my name is Jenny Gonzales I am the wife of Kyle Gonzales and the sister in law of Tyler. October 16th was just a normal day for a few guys to go and enjoy a bike ride up to Mount Saint Helens. Coming up around Elks Point, the unimaginable happened, Tyler and his friend Justin Renteria crashed their bikes and both suffered severe injuries. Kyle Gonzales found both of them and assisted in getting them the help they needed as soon as possible. Tyler was life flighted to Tacoma and Justin was Life Flighted from St Johns to Vancouver for surgery.

Tyler is being treated in the ICU @ Tacoma General Hospital and is currently unable to breathe on his own and is sedated and intubated. He suffered 8 fractured ribs on his left side, hip dislocation (relocated), a fractured pelvis that wraps around to his sacrum, internal bleeding in his stomach and lungs, subcutaneous swelling, bruising on his chin and forehead, superficial lacerations to his right shoulder and all down his left leg, as well as a severe concussion and some degree of hemorrhage in his brain.

October 16th @ 1:30am Tyler received a blood transfusion as his BP was unstable.

Only given a presumed idea, the nurses believe it will be a long road to recovery for Tyler which keep him out of work for quite some time. I am asking for help from all friends and family who can please find it in their hearts to help his wife Whittney and their two babies, Addy and Hardin, to get them through these tough time. Because of childcare struggles and her needing to be with her children, Whittney will need to travel from Castle Rock to Tacoma many time during Tyler’s recovery and treatment to be with him.
