Tyler Fortin’s Road to Recovery

On Saturday, February 10th, Tyler went out to enjoy the rare nice February weather with friends. While riding the trails on his ATV he got a flat tire and on his way back to fix the tire he lost control and hit a pole so hard that the pole broke in half. If it weren’t for his helmet, he would not be with us today.
Since the accident, Tyler has been sedated in the hospital on a breathing tube. He had a drain put in from his brain to reduce swelling, broken facial bones, broken arm and collar bone, laceration on his lung, fractured jaw and spine. On Friday, the 16th, he will have surgery on his arm, clavicle, and hopefully jaw. Needless to say, Tyler has a long road ahead of him but is getting stronger every day.
Right now, there’s still a lot of unknowns. What is known is that Michelle and Joe, Tyler’s loving parents, also have a long road ahead. If you know the Fortin family, you know they would never ask for anything and work hard for everything they have. With all the medical expenses already endured and so many more to come and having to take time out of work, let’s try to ease the stress of these bills for them during this traumatic time.
