Tyler Einsmann : Lupus : Stage 4 Kidney Disease

My name is Tyler Einsmann and in November of 2020, I was diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks its own body. Lupus can affect many different areas of your body, such as your kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, joints, skin and lungs. In my case, it has affected my Kidneys, Blood cells, and Lungs. I’ve been a healthy soccer player my whole life and just graduated college in May of 2020. I started getting severe migraines, arthritis in my hands, weakness, and shortness of breathing. One night I was laying in bed and I couldn't catch my breath. I went to the emergency room & stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks, before I was officially diagnosed with Lupus. On January 11th, 2021, I went in for my normal blood work and my doctor called me immediately after and admitted me back into the hospital. They told me my kidneys were starting to take a hit and that I needed a kidney Biopsy the next day. 3 days later the results came back, and I was officially told I was on stage 4 of kidney Disease. My Kidneys are getting worse and I am struggling with medical costs. My doctors have discussed kidney transplants, and Dialysis with me. This whole experience has been both mentally and physically draining. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Lupus is a lifelong disease with no cure at the moment. I need help and I want to spread awareness of what Lupus is. Anything helps, I love you all. Thank you for listening to my story.
