Help Tyson Overcome Amputation Challenges

$9,000.00 insurance deductible (the bad news).

The good news is his job is waiting for when he gets back. Two weeks ago Tyson had a blister on his right foot, and on Wed. July 24, 2024, they chopped off his leg at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

On Monday, July 29, he goes to a nursing care facility near Akron City Hospital.

Hello. I'm Gordon JAY Alexander and my brother Tyson just had his right leg amputated below the knee. This was a complication of a foot infection, diabetes related.

Brother is in good spirits, and is gearing up for a recovery phase, albeit an expensive one.

His boss has assured him his job will be there when he is ready to come back to work and will accommodate him best they can. It is estimated to be about 2+ months or so before that happens.

In the meantime, he is without an income, and has hospital/Dr. bills piling up, I have decided to do this fund raiser for him to basically help cover his monthly living expenses; rent, food, car payment, insurance, etc.

In lieu of donations here, also, local ACME or Giant Eagle, Walmart or Amazon or even Discount Drug Mart gift cards would be nice too, Tyson lives near the Discount Drug Mart on 7th St. in the Falls.

I think he will be on a strict diet, probably low carb and low salt, and certainly low sugar, and I will do most of the food prep for him, I'm only 5 mins away, so I have primary care duties for awhile.

Isn't it amazing what can happen to us in a short time period. Tyson and I thank you for all and any help, again, if you want to send him food or household supplies, we can arrange that or any items useful for an amputee too.
