I am creating this fundraiser to help with funeral expenses for my coworker, who has also become a dear friend. On Monday, I received heartbreaking news that her son, Trayvon Crowder, was tragically killed in a senseless act of gun violence.

My friend is one of the most caring and dedicated people I know — both as a teacher and as a person. She has always given so much to others, and now she’s facing unimaginable pain and loss. No mother should ever have to bury her child.

Because I know how difficult and costly this time can be, I wanted to start this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden that comes with losing a loved one so suddenly.

On November 9, 2025, Trayvon’s life was taken unexpectedly. He was loved by so many, and his passing has left his family — especially his only son — completely heartbroken.
