2015 NHSCA National Duals
The NHSCA National Wrestling Duals is the largest dual event in the history of scholastic wrestling. Last year, 251 teams, with over 3,700 individual wrestlers representing 14 states competed in this event. The level of wrestling at this event may be tougher than any faced throughout the year. The very best, from many of the top states, attend and compete here for their respective clubs. The competition is intense.
This trip is designed to assess the progress of each individual wrestler at the end of a 10 week training camp. This individualized coaching program includes teaching the kids sport specific strength training as well as necessary nutritional knowledge that is too often overlooked in high school sports. Some of these wrestlers are using this training to prepare them for the next level of competition at the college level, but most of the guys have their sights set on competing for a HS state title.
The Roughneck Wrestling Club-Detroit is a branch of Brad Zeigler's original Roughneck Club out of Hanover, PA. Brad has been taking teams to The National Duals since 2007 while the Detroit Chapter is in it's 3rd year.
This year we are taking more than 2 full high school teams to compete at the national level . With this $2000, we can offset the cost of the trip and allow kids to go who might not have the chance otherwise.
