Tyamonee Gives Back to a Capetown, Orphanage
Donation protected
This year in celebration of our son, brother, grandson Tyamonee’s life we are collecting funds to support an orphanage we had the honor of visiting on our trip to Capetown, South Africa. Before going we charged our guide with finding a way for us to be a blessing. He chose the orphanage. This orphanage was started by a lady who saw kids in need and took them in. She has passed but her son and his wife have continued her work. Unlike in the US there is no real government support so they support the children and the household on the small income that the son earns and donations. Currently there are about 20 children ages 2 months- 19 living at the orphanage and 4 adults. They have running water provided by the city and access to electricity, however; it is difficult for them to keep the electric bill paid (approx $30 a month). As you can imagine it is extremely difficult to keep all of those mouths fed and bodies clean and cloth. School supplies, toys, diapers etc they need it all and lots of it!! We did a little while we were there and they were so appreciative. Please enjoy the pictures and reach down in your pockets and let’s bless them this season!!
