Our team of 2 volunteers have trapped and spayed/neutered hundreds of cats in the OC area. We are grateful for the assistance we get from our Orange County chapters of the ASPCA and Animal Assistance League that offset the cost of some of the feral spay/neuter services. 75% to 80% of the the remaining veterinary bills are paid by us, out of pocket. As you can imagine, these bills can be very costly, often in the hundreds of dollars. Any funds raised will be used to further our efforts and help as many of our feral population as we can.

What is a feral cat:

A feral cat is an un-owned domestic cat that lives outdoors and avoids human contact: it does not allow itself to be handled or touched, and usually remains hidden from humans. Feral cats may breed over dozens of generations if left unfixed. Some feral cats may become more comfortable with people who regularly feed them, but even with long-term attempts at socialization, they usually remain aloof and un-adoptable. If kittens born to feral mom's are captured before 8 weeks of age, they stand a chance of being socialized and adopted.

And then there are the kitties that owners just abandoned. Those are not feral but have become frightened of humans due to their new situation. These kitties can usually be re-socialized and find a new forever home.

Help us stop this cycle and give these kitties a better life. Please remember: These cats and kittens did not choose to be born feral. They exist because a lot of people just don't care. They can only be helped by those who do. Please be one of them.
